Aaaaaaand some more MOTÖRHEAD:

Brixton is a great live album. Was originally released in 2001 as 25 & Alive Boneshaker on CD/DVD which is what I have. Has a much better cover.

Don’t know why I have 2 DVD’s though

I ordered the Ozzy boxset “See You On The Other Side” nearly a month ago now so I’m eagerly awaiting its arrival. Was very very expensive though but it’s the crème de la crème of boxsets and I’m a real sucker for boxsets so I just had to have it. Tracking says in transit. Don’t know if it’s coming by plane or ship with the current COVID crisis but I just hope it arrives safe & sound & soon.

Full photos in the vinyl thread when it arrives
There’s been some movement with my boxset  :excited:

It’s been 6 weeks since I ordered and 4 weeks since it was shipped from the Ozzy store but for the last 2 weeks the tracking was stuck on “in transit” Yesterday it changed to “Cleared Customs” Today it’s saying “ Departed Terminal Location”  Should be here in a couple of days with a bit of luck.

Ive never been this excited to receive a package in the mail but that’s the lockdown at work.

^^The one thing these later DP albums have made me do is appreciate albums like The House of Blue Light and The Battle Rages On so much more. I listened to Whoosh! 2 times through and it got worse on the 2nd listen. The first song and the last 3 were ok but the rest was just so incredibly boring and laborious to get through. They just sound like a bunch of old crooners at this stage. I know they’re getting old and are probably playing music that reflects their age but that shouldn't mean they couldn’t add some power or punch to at least some songs.

Pretty much everything in this post is wrong.

Looks like I get to settle the argument after I give it a listen all the way through. :D

I’ll take your opinions with pinch of salt. Gillan could record his bowel movements and you’d say It was fantastic!  :problem:

The album is a turkey. It’s for old people to bop-along and click their finger to.

Maybe the later Blackmore albums just get held to a higher standard or something because how anyone can shit on those albums and praise this is beyond me.

Just goes to show that one man's garbage is another man's living room sofa, I guess. :D

STUFF GILLAN DID THAT WAS SHITE:

1. Ian Gillan Band
2. "Digital Bitch"
3. That Episode Six reunion where he was all out of tune

I'm not one to give Gillan a free pass. And, honestly, I think his vocals were a big part of the problem in the Mk2 Reunion. He was just "eeeeeeeeeeEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-YOW!" -ing it way too much on those albums. Going with Morse, he got a reprieve. He could sing his age from 1995 forward. Not that *that* was a guarantee... While I really enjoyed Purpendicular and Abandon, Bananas really disappointed me. Rapture of the Deep was better, Now What?! much more so, Infinite a step back, and Whoosh! I think is an album I can gladly accept, prog and all.

Remember, I brought Thick As a Brick with me to the desert island... :smug:
