OK, that makes sense with Thel's other buys. :)

^Interesting mix there. :)

My latest buys were more Motown/Philly Soul. Teddy Pendergrass, Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes, Brenda Holloway, "Little" Stevie Wonder, and a pair of old Isley Bros. albums.

Isley Brothers had the most interesting sets, from a historical perspective. Covering the years 1962-1967, it's a period I wasn't familiar with, outside of "Shout" and "Twist and Shout".

The track "Surf and Shout" was the craziest. I had NEVER pegged the Isley Brothers to do a *surfing* track!

^^^ yeah - as you know I am a fan of numerous styles and genres of music.
I just bought a four disc gold collection Motown set for my mother about a week ago.

Strawbs are interesting to me. Only ever heard one album of theirs, "Ghosts" and the song "Part of the Union". Interested how that compares to the rest of their output.

I only know the one album that I bought. I really enjoy it but have not listened to anything else by them.

In today

It's the first ever Megadeth compilation album released on vinyl so I thought I'd pick it up as I have every other Megadeth album on vinyl.

^^^ I was going to get that on CD but it goes for 35 dollars or more, and since I have all the albums I decided against it.

The 4LP vinyl set comes in a nice boxset with separate sleeves and a booklet. Cost me $108 but I just had to have it for the reasons I outlined. Only thing is, it features the god awful 2004 remixes of the SFSGSW, RIP and CTE. So unless you're a completist like I am don't bother with this compilation.
