Cool Thel' !! China White is fantastic

It is a great album - and I am replacing a scratched copy so I definitely have heard it many times before. I think that most of the Scorpions discography is damn good.

Back in August I received word that a favorite band of mine, L7, was going to produce a new album, and were selling memorabilia to raise funding.  I purchased the following package:

L7 Film Bundle with CD
◦ L7 Baseball Hat
◦ L7: Pretend We're Dead Blu Ray/DVD
◦ The New Album on CD
◦ Your Name in the Album Credits

This week I was told that the new album is in the editing stage and is to be released in February 2019.  I'm kind of excited about this , especially because of my name to appear in the album credits.  :excited:

Turns out my purchase is in jeopardy.  I was just sent an update from the L7 band about a crisis going on at PledgeMusic.  :squint:

https://www.billboard.com/articles/business/8497348/pledgemusic-music-crowdfunding-industry-artist-campaigns-regulation
Id be cancelling your order quick smart and contacting your credit card provider to make a transaction dispute.  I've been reading about this the last couple of weeks. Pledge is in heavy debt. Basically Pledgers are not receiving their orders and bands aren't getting their money.
Just to add further to this. Last In Line made a post on their FB page during the week urging everyone to cancel their order's and take out a dispute with their CC.
This was one of their replys to a fan post

The refunds do not come from Pledge, they come from their independent payments processor (Bluesnap), even if they are in trouble it is not up to Pledge. Credit cards offer purchase protection in cases such as these. If you are expressing your frustration then we agree and join in with you, but I would respectfully caution not to suggest to people that they cannot get a refund, because that is not accurate. Please contact your card / Paypal for their consumer protection.

Jack is right, Pledge is hosed. There are still problems with bands getting their funds even from releases of over a year ago. A lot of bands are just flat out severing ties with Pledge and crowdfunding directly, because it's now become an issue with customers not getting what they ordered as well. What a mess, and that sounded like a cool package from L7. Hopefully they manage to swing it in a different direction!

They sold some special packaging and signed stuff from bands...like LP/CD combos signed and such. Usually limited numbers...and rather expensive considering the only thing "special" about them was that they were signed...and not always that either I think...

The pricks said that this was in very good condition - it arrived with the case broken and some kind of scummy film on the CDs. Fuck I hate being lied to!!.

I've got the Bo Diddley Chess anthology, but I want to get my hands on his 70s stuff, those albums have some wild rock on them, but they're not available in an MP3 version.

I go with Amazon or Bandcamp for my purchases... and I just went back to Amazon to see Black Gladiator and Big Bad Bo with MP3 albums!

And I've got this Amazon gift card from Christmas, whatever shall I buy with it? :smug:
