Okay...well got a new "order shipped" e-mail from Pledge...

It seems that they didn't even have my copy of the cd anymore (god knows who got it) so they were sent a new batch of signed cds..so this is now bit less special as it's from the "second" batch...not sure if it matters though...

Let's see what comes of this.

I can pretty safely say though this was the first AND the last time I'll ever order anything from Pledge...cost a fortune and nothing but issues...

??? Kind of odd.  Just received in my mail today some foolish cd by Megadeath called Killing Is My Business.  Came from some joint called Pledge.  I have never been into this group, so I'm just going to toss it.

Hold on... Tyr... are you *just now* buying those Purple and Zep albums, or are you buying them on a new format?

Hold on... Tyr... are you *just now* buying those Purple and Zep albums, or are you buying them on a new format?

For Purple, I had recorded these albums on K7 but had not listened to them for years. These cassettes being unusable, I chose to buy original vinyl copies but I will not do it anymore. too many nasty surprises, crunches, torn inner sleeves, words written on covers, crosses inscribed in front of the favorite titles , bullshit like this ...
I just can't appreciate Child In Time because of crunches. Same for Made In Japan. Same issues with Tarot Woman on Rising.
Also, last year I preferred to buy all Led Zep, except The song remains the same (original copy), in new remastered vinyl copies that gave me all satisfaction. All the works on the vinyl and the quality of the packaging are fantastic (III, Houses of the Holy, Physical Grafitti and Presence are so successful).
I never bought a LZ album before because I didn't like the band apart from a few songs. I really discovered them last year. A true revelation.
But more generally, some vinyl reissues of masterpieces are ignoble (Slayer "Reign in Blood" for example).

True, original vinyl can be a real gamble if you don't have access to the item itself prior to purchase.
