I was thinking about this the other day, and one of the things that makes this so cool to me is that it provides a certain amount of continuity in my life - like, I'm sort of still a kid because Deep Purple was there making world class rock music when I was young, and is still doing it.

It's an amazing album, as well. I woke up with "My New Movie" in my head, very nice. Lots of catchy riffs and memorable songs, I plan to play the heck out of it.

Played through it twice and the only slightly weaker song is The Beating Of Wings which doesn't really go anywhere...the rest are bangers for sure! The bass intro to Splat is brilliant!

The Beating of Wings is one that grows on me more and more as I listen to the album. The chorus gets me in a way that Our Lady does, uplifting and hopeful after the bluesy verses.
