Have any of you got a delivery by a drone yet?

My dad uses drone delivery and the drones keep dropping off their parcels in the alleyway. Since he has a hedge growing next to the alley, it's like a scene from A Bridge Too Far whenever he emerges from cover to get the airdrop.

He's tried to get the drones to drop off in a clear spot out front, but to no avail. Always in the alley and a race against the next car coming down it.

My wife knows a drone operator through her chamber of commerce contacts and his methodology will deposit the parcel precisely in a small area without having to drop it. That is quite nice. He can contact a person when a delivery has arrived so that they can maintain line of sight on the delivery to help prevent theft of the delivery.



And speaking of parents, my mom's going into rehab after having a minor stroke that impacted her speech areas of the brain and my dad has to see a consultant about a hernia he sustained in picking up groceries. Both are in their 80s, so things like this will keep coming as they age.

In Australian Football, news hits the streets that 5 members of the Sydney Swans team are involved in a sexual assault investigation pertaining to an after-game party they had in their hotel.

It's not good to even be in a situation like that where such allegations could be made.

A few months ago, my mom (who has Alzheimer's) ended up in the hospital. She couldn't stand up or stand if she was helped up or use a walker...was in bad shape and we all thought her hospital stay was the beginning of the end. She worked through the issue that sent her to the hospital, and is, today, much more in-tune with what's going on, can stand up, use a walker, can actually walk on her own (but is a fall risk), and is so much better. Not in relation to a 35 year old, but within her current situation, she's doing great.
