.aaaand it happened again today...

And this time it wasn't just the F and the 5 it was also O and 0...


So opened the keyboard up again and cleaned it again this time with electronic contact spray...seems to be working now..

What is the sucky part is that these Ergonomic keyboards aren't available much anymore...the design has changed...and since I've been using one for over 15 years I can not type with a regular keyboard anymore...I did find a new model of the Microsoft Ergonomic keyboard but even that is bit different, but I did order one just in case...because cleaning my keyboard is taking up quite a lot of my day now!

AAAnd this happened again. And this time it did not wake up anymore...

So my new keyboard is in use now!

But hey I got almost 6 months more useage out of the old one by cleaning it...But sadly now it was time to give it a well deserved funeral.

So, I go to this gal that cuts my hair about once a month or so. I went earlier today, and she had heard about my wife. Mentioned she was single and always dreamed of a good marriage. Cut my hair, I went on my way.

About two hours ago, I got a text message from her. Of course, they have my number, but only send out appointment notices. This one was from her. I was concerned that she was going to tell me she was quitting. It is damn hard to find a stylist I like and Ive had to jump around before so I wasn't looking forward to reading her text.

I read her text. She said, "Hey Vyn, just thought I'd let you know that when I mentioned I was single, I meant very single." And she included a live action picture of her in her dental-floss like intimate apparel. I would post it, but don't want to jack with her privacy and it's about as risque as one can get without being pornographic.

I replied with "DAMN, that's so hot I dropped my phone"

Which is almost the truth.

She replied with, "Good, then it worked. I have to go visit my parents, they live <somewhere> but I'll be back Sunday. I'll message you when I'm settled back in, and you can let me know what you think" With a smiley face.

In the looks dept. this woman is not even in the same solar system I'm in with my old gnarly looks. She's in her late 40s, and built like the proverbial brick shithouse.

I think someone made a song about her.

But, whereas I'm flattered, and frankly suspect she's just looking for someone with more than two dollars to their name more so than looking for "me", that just ain't happening. Not even as a fling. Not going to get involved in some kind of nonsense for an overnite and not interested in a relationship at this point. Which is basically what I'm going to tell her. But for one moment my confidence got a giant kick in the ass, and if that picture of her would have been a poster in 1977, no one would have had Farrah Fawcett on their walls.

This soon after the passing of your wife, it seems a little insensitive. While you may want to get back out there, I can't imagine wanting to do that so soon!

Yeah, not interested. Maybe since I was capable of getting a haircut and behave in a normal manner she figured I was over the whole ordeal.

She may be just lonely, and knowing you for some time, you being a customer and all, saw an opportunity and didn't want to let it slip by.

Hahaha, I think I'd have to jump on her to qualify as stud. But since I'm running scared, a more appropriate term at this point would be, "pud" lol

@Typhon - could be, however, given our society's emphasis on looks - and she has a lot of that - I think she could walk down any given street and hook into a line of guys with no problem. I would entertain the idea that having lived her entire life with those looks, which no doubt presents its own set of unique challenges, she could be interested in someone that doesn't make decisions based on those looks. Facts are facts, and nobody, man or woman, would consider her as nothing less than stunning in the looks department, and I can recognize and appreciate those looks, but they don't mean anything to me as far as whether I would pursue a romantic relationship with her or not.

Some people are bolder than others in exploring potential relationship partnerships, that's for sure. Flattering for sure, but that's all that it is.

I once had a discussion in which someone was openly contemplating having a relationship with a lady he knew only from seeing pictures and a bit of flirting. Best comment I heard on the matter was, "Hey, wake up! Until you really know her as a person, always assume that someone somewhere right now is sick and tired of dealing with her bullshit."

Be nice, be civil, be friendly... but until proven otherwise, someone somewhere right now is sick and tired of dealing with her bullshit. Discipline like that can keep you out of trouble.

As it so happened, that dude found out that, indeed, there were actually more than one or two someones sick of that attractive lady's bullshit. Pays to exercise caution.

@KDC - hahaha, thankfully I am capable of having a dicsussion with her that hits my goal while at the same time does not alienate the woman. I meant it when I said that finding a stylist I like is hard. I do not want to go that route. But, I refuse to be extorted emotionally just to get a good trim job
