Future Top 10 Lists

Just somewhere to gather ideas about the next topics for our Top 10 listings.

I've got a few ideas, but would love to see others adding theirs also...

Currently I have:

1) Horror songs

2) In sickness and in Death... inspired by Megadeth's The Sick, The Dying and The Dead

3) Geological Nature - Mountains, valleys, cliffs, oceans, lakes and rivers etc.

4) Fauna and Flora - Living nature, animals and plants etc whether real or fictional.

5) The universe... songs outside the erath... so the moon, sun, planets, asteroids, comets, galaxies and constellations!


Of course we have the second part of the "places" list (Streets, Roads, Alleys, Buildings/Venues and such like).

I was thinking about songs of real or fictional people, but I may not have enough!

Your thoughts, your ideas?

I was thinking about historical figures...you could get a full top ten using Iced Earth and Iron Maiden and have songs left over!

But honestly I don't know if I know enough to do one per band...probably not...but naturally rules can be bent.


Your entire list looks like fun...but I'm not sure I can come up with 10 space songs...maybe...might be fun to try!

Could also do the best 100 songs about Texas. Or the top 10 songs about bricks and/or thickness.

Great idea  - I'll toss in:

using drugs (not a simple mention like "I was stoned" but a song about drug abuse)
depression (oh lord I'm so sad)
joy/happiness (wooo!)
peace
war

For some/all/none of them, whenever the time comes, maybe add some additional rules. Some of these topics will obviously be more difficult than others, so let's say songs about war but instrumental only, that kind of thing.

Just my 2 cents!

Shall we go in order or randomize the list?

I ran this python script to generate a random number:

And got back the number 9.

I then ran it three more times, once for each of us that have been participating in these lists:

Charger: 11

Kilo: 4

Z: 10


I then took those and ran the following script to randomly select one of the previous values:

values = [9, 11, 4, 10]
random_value = random.choice(values)

print(random_value)
---------------------------------------------

It came back with 10.

So, I suggest 10, "Peace".
