As I was turning slowly out of a parking lot, the strut on the left front wheel on my Geo Tracker snapped and the vehicle collapsed at that corner coming to an abrupt halt.  I was fine, but I had to get the Tracker towed home. 

On the drive home, the tow truck driver told me that if I had been going at a high speed when the strut snapped, then I would have probably wound up in the hospital.  I no longer travel on the highway with the Tracker, but I do go 45 mph on my town's roads.  I guess I am feeling a bit fortunate tonight.   :twitch:

Probably not. Might have just snapped as it did now. Maybe there might have been some shake on the steering wheel seconds before, but maybe not.
