From February 1954. They didn't call him Johnny "Guitar" Watson for nothing! I was looking into this for my radio show today as a substitute for a song I wanted to pull and WOW if this isn't something that sounds like it launched Blackmore's boat!

Hmmm...You can clearly hear the similarities in style. Heck it wouldn't sound out of place in an early Rainbow or Purple live jam section!

I know! And that's a Fender he's playing on, as well. This was one of the first, if not THE first, records to feature guitar pedal effects.
