Gentlemen, I give to you The Wigner Crystal! Executive summary of the article linked below: 90 years ago, Eugene Wigner mathematically described a phenomenon wherein free electrons party with each other without inviting any other subatomic particle. Recently, scientists captured an image of electrons engaged in such a party!
