Belichik should just go do something else. The man has six rings, I doubt anyone will look at him as a failure for taking up yachting or something else besides football.

Jimmy Johnson...hahahahahaha, that would be EPIC.

Belichik was magical because he had Tom Brady and both shared a similar football philosophy to do whatever it took to win those games. I think Belichick would be a great coach again if paired with a similarly-driven QB. Anything less, he's a caretaker interim hire while extending a search for a hoped-for long-term solution.

Pretty sure Saban has his phone ringer turned off and is getting ready to go fishin'.

Jimmy Johnson practically tried out for the role during his commentary at halftime during the Cowboys-Packers game. Would love to see him come on home. :D

Lions and Chiefs got the job done, along with the 49ers and the Ravens.

My brother and I caught the Texans game and he was all "The Texans gonna do it!" and I was like "Cool story, bro." I had no doubt the Ravens were going to romp on them, which they did.

All through the Chiefs-Bills game, I was enjoying the lead changes, imagining the roller coaster ride that Vyn was on during the thing. I was thinking the Bills were going to win, but damn if the Flintstones didn't find a way. GREAT game!

Went into the Chiefs/Bills game convinced the Chiefs were going to lose their first divisional round in five seasons.

I was incorrect haha. They played like a team that wanted to win for the first time in a long time. Looking forward to how they fare against Baltimore next weekend.

I still think it will be a Ravens-49ers Super Bowl, but I am ready to watch some great conference championship action coming up this weekend. Neither game will disappoint, I predict.

The weekend is upon us; come Sunday night, we'll have some answers! Taylor Swift vs. Dan Campbell as the embodiment of decades of the forlorn hopes and dreams of a Lions championship team? Or maybe Lamar Jackson vs. representatives from the town that doesn't believe in teaching its children mathematics?

I think Baltimore is going to go all the way this weekend and at the SB, regardless of who they play. Mahomes is still Mahomes, and Pacheco is cut from the same magic cloth, but two players do not make a team and Lamar Jackson is every bit as good as Mahomes (albeit without the extra spice) and is backed by an entire team that wants to win, every game.

As much as it would be cool to see Detroit win a Super Bowl, I think they should all be happy they actually made it to the AFC championship game at all!

So, Ravens over the Chiefs, but will be close. 49ers over Lions in a blow-out game that won't even be close.

Baltimore wins the SB.

Saw a map of the USA for how football fans would be rooting for in the championship games.

For the NFC, California was going for the 49ers. Everyone else, the Lions. I'm in that group. I really just don't like the 49ers. Why don't they just round up and make it an even 50, for starters? But, yeah, decades of them stomping on Cowboys hopes and dreams and mediocre coaching have left me bitter about them. Go Lions! Who doesn't like a story about ending a championship drought?

For the AFC, it was like Ravens nation except for three states: Kansas, Missouri, and... Ohio! For those not from the USA, the owner of the Cleveland Browns basically said "FU" to all his fans that would show up in the worst conditions to watch that team play and moved his business to Baltimore. The hate for Baltimore has been strong in Ohio ever since. Also, Cincinnati has to play the Ravens in the same division, so there be some hate there, as well. A case could be made for Pittsburg fans hating on the Ravens, but it's just as likely they got about the same GRRRR for Mahomes and the Chiefs.

Myself, I like young Patrick. I'd like to see a great game and the best team winning, but I got no hate here.

As for outcomes...

The Santa Clara Squared Sevens will prevail over the Big Cats of Detroit. In AFC action, it'll be the Nevermores winning out in a close match over the Kansas City Flintstones.

Great jumping pizza pies, KC is ahead going into the last quarter! Two scores up, even!

EDIT: 2:10 to go and whatta throw by Mahomes!  :excited:

Baltimore just looks gassed right now.

A quick scoring game between KC and Baltimore, that even more quickly turned into a defensive slug-fest. I am stoked that the Chiefs decided today was a day to play football...my negativity was inspired by their craptastic showing pretty much all season. They've always had the capacity to be winners, but they seemed to flip a coin before every game to determine whether they'd show up or not.

They earned this win.

Hoping to see the Lions trounce the 49ers! Their fans in Detroit are probably stunned they made it this far and are having difficulty processing the reality they are being presented with lol. Talk about a drought of winning, those poor bastards havn't been in a championship game since before I was born.  I grew up thinking the Lions were a test team for all the other real teams to practice on haha.

Yep, looks like Brock Purdy decided if Mahomes can play football in February, so can I!

I want to see the Chiefs kick the living shit out of the 49ers. But do it in spectacular fashion, so it isn't a boring game. Things like Jones sacking Purdy every third snap. Mahomes throwing fifty yards to Kelce for a TD, sidearm while doing a backflip and looking in the opposite direction. Back-to-back kick-off returns for TDs. Stuff like that. SF with zero points, Chiefs with eight TD passes, eight two point conversions, and five running scores. SF will be getting frustrated, lose their discipline, and pull flags left and right. 250 yards worth of penalties for SF, zero for KC. I want to see Mahomes throw it to Taylor Swift, she runs it down from the celebrity suite for a TD, and the league lets it count because she's basically part of the team by this point.

That's what I want to see.

One other thing: the only thing that will get more attention than all of that, will be the video of Shanahan trying to discretely scratch his nuts, getting his hand caught in his pants, and jumping around yanking on his package.

But, there's one thing that will overshadow even THAT comic entertainment: Reid showing up with his mustache shaved OFF.

Current listening: "Kansas City" by Wilbert Harrison.

Seeing overreactions like "OMG THIS SUPER BOWL IS HITLER VS STALIN" and stuff like that. Lions and Ravens lost, that's life in the big-ass city. While I don't expect Taylor Swift reporting eligible, I'd LOVE to see a stomping of the 49ers. I do not want them to be the first NFC team with 6 Super Bowl wins.

As for the Chiefs, it's their time to shine.

^ Face of a young lad who knows there are good things in his future, for certain. His first year as a starter, he throws for 5000 yards and 50 TDs, with only Peyton Freakin' Manning sharing that stat! Every year, he's put KC in the AFC Championship game, winning 4 of those 6. The only two QBs to beat Mahomes in the post-season have been Joe Burrows and Tom Brady, and neither of those guys are taking snaps for SF.

KC's defense did amazing work on the Ravens while SF had to scramble and find a way to get out of their hole against the Lions. Signs are pointing towards KC winning this SB with confidence and style.
