They'll need to show sustained streaks of brilliance to get past Philly! :D

Schefty” reporting that Eagles QB Jalen Hurts has a sprained throwing shoulder, and could be ruled “out” against Dallas this weekend.

I was reading in a sports column how RG3 brought up a consideration of nominating the Eagles' center as MVP. The columnist pooh-poohed the idea, saying that the QB really drives the offense, not the center. But, the columnist conceded that the Eagles' OL is amazing. That will be put to the test on Saturday. I'll be happy for a healthy win over a wounded Eagles, but I'm also wondering if the Eagles are just *that good* that they could have a backup QB and still beat any other team in the league.

Eagles v Cowboys did NOT disappoint! And neither did the game I caught before that, Vikings v Giants. Both had great football action, games well played.

The Cowboys team that showed up yesterday I think was strong enough to make a statement that they can beat any other team out there with their defense. Dak Prescott is in strong form and the team as a whole is showing excellent discipline in getting penalties down to a minimum. That's the team I want to see going forward, the one that got stung hard by Jacksonville and is vowing to never again let that happen. Eagles were no slouches, either, but the Dallas defense showed amazing capability. If I'm choosing a Dallas player for MVP discussions, it's Micah Parsons on defense.

Merry Christmas! Did all of the holiday family stuff already, so I've got Seventh Star rocking and sitting here still amazed at the shootout Dallas and Philadelphia put on.

I didn't get to watch any games yesterday, but that must have been something else.

It's worth watching, well worth watching. Did not disappoint at all, and the highlights showcase top talent running smoothly.

I managed to catch some of the game highlights, and the Cowboys looked like they are SB worthy.

Unlike Denver yesterday. It seemed like they might have found some footing after playing reasonably well against KC, and then beating the Cards.

HAHAHAHA nope.

They looked like a pop warner team playing against an actual NFL team. The Rams tore them apart. Wilson was horrible, their defense imploded, jeez.

Denver firing their head coach after that game at least shows the owners are starting to see how jacked up their franchise is, but Wilson's contract is still crushing them like Christian's burden as he wallowed in the Slough of Despond.

Hackett was in the hottest of the hot seats, not surprising to see him go.

Patriots might be looking after this year, as well, unless Belichik cleans house with his assistant staff.

Given the Eagles unexpected loss Dallas winning the division and clinching the No 1 seed is still alive although I’m not very hopeful the Giants will beat Philly next week which needs to happen as well as a Cowboys win. The Giants have already clinched a playoff spot and will most likely rest a number of starters whilst it looks like Hurts will be back for Philly.

I was expecting KC to destroy Denver yesterday, but for the first time all season the Broncos played like a pro team. They still lost (thankfully!) but they made way more of a showing than I thought they would.

Kansas City can do amazing things, but their lack of consistency makes me think they'll get booted after the first round of the playoffs.

THINGS I CAN SAY NOW THAT I DID NOT IMAGINE I WOULD BE SAYING BACK IN AUGUST 2022:

1. Jaguars might just win the AFC South.
2. Three NFC East teams will make the playoffs, each with pretty solid records against quality opponents.
3. 49ers got the NFC West, nobody else even close in that division.
4. Lions might make the playoffs. They need some help, but they beat the Packers and they're in.
5. Cowboys got those pre-snap penalties under control.
6. LA Rams may be looking for a new coach, certainly looking for some answers.
7. Geno Smith was the right way to go for Seattle.

THINGS I CAN SAY NOW THAT WOULD BE NO SURPRISE TO ANYONE IN AUGUST 2022:

1. Bills, Chiefs, and Bengals all look like excellent playoff contenders.
2. Vikings are better off with a less-toxic coach.
3. Steelers having a struggle year, but might just squeeze out a winning season.
4. The Raiders and Broncos will find a way to beat themselves, it's a question of which team will do it the worst.
5. Jets, Browns, and Texans will disappoint fans for another year.
6. TOM FRIGGIN' BRADY holy smokes, this guy's a one-man army, some times.

What are the odds that Brady goes to Las Vegas next season?

Yeah reuniting Brady and Josh McDaniels could definitely be on the cards in Vegas. But the way Jarrett Stidham played against the 49ers they might be rethinking that.

Scary scenes in Cincinnati tonight. Hoping Damar Hamlin is going to be ok.

I was watching that when it happened. The man stood up from the tackle, then just fell straight onto his back. They had emergency crews on him immediately. That is some scary stuff, am hoping he pulls through it as well.
