I've been keeping an eye online, and India have not started well in reply. But Kohli is still there so anything is possible!

Yeah India was in all sorts early at 31/4 but have recovered to be 74/4 in the 13th over. Kohli and Pandya are going great guns now finding the boundary on a regular basis and just took 20 off the 12th over.

I get that, it looked exciting even though I was just looking at the scorecard ticking over on a web page. 16 runs and 2 wickets in the last over does sound crazy, and getting the runs they needed on the last ball! Well done India.

Had 2 no balls, a wide, a six, a free hit which Kohli was bowled on and they ran 3 from the ricochet off the stumps, and 2 wickets, not to mention controversy.

Today Bangladesh beat the Netherlands by 9 runs, whilst the game against South Africa and Zimbabwe was rain affected and no result was achieved.

On Tuesday the only game is Australia vs Sri Lanka... it should be a win for Australia as Sri Lanka are a shadow of what they were but who knows.

A comfortable win for Australia... in the end! Sri Lanka put up a solid total of 157, and despite a sticky spell around the 10th over they reached the winning line with more than 3 overs remaining... largely due to the big hitting of Stoinis who hit 59 from just 18 balls.

England just got rolled by Ireland. England were chasing 157 and were 105/5 in the 15th over when the rain came. Couldn’t get back on the ground by the allotted time so they called the match and with England behind on DLS by 5 runs Ireland get the win. Can’t say Ireland didn’t deserve it though. The batted well and bowled well whilst England were poor on both fronts.

Sets up an intriguing game on Friday between Australia and England. Could be all over for the losers.

I do feel England could have reached the total if the rain hadn't intervened, but they should have done better in the run chase to eliminate that outcome. Ireland have been a bit a of a bogey team in recent years. With two other games already abandoned due to the weather is this tournament in danger of being ruined?

Maybe England would’ve made the total maybe not. Ali was performing a recovery effort of sorts and starting to find the boundary when the rain came, but if Ali hadve went out in the next over or two England would’ve been in trouble again. They’ve only got themselves to blame though, they won the toss and elected to bat 2nd knowing the potential for a rain interruption and having the upper hand in knowing what was required. But they bowled poorly and then didn’t use their advantage of batting 2nd with the threat of rain looming. They were behind the whole time on the run chase.

Very odd performance by England.

Better than the king calling it all off. Then it's a match called due to reign. :D
