New Zealand only got 134 for 8 in their 20 overs. That never looked like enough against Pakistan who knocked off the runs easily.

Pakistan's got a strong opening, so it seems.

I think the biggest thing to come out of the SA v West Indies game was that SA star opening batsman/keeper Quinton de Kock pulled out just minutes before the start for refusing to take the edict that the team kneel before the game.

It's not obligatory in the Premier League, but most people do it. I remember someone (I think it was Wilfred Zaha) said he wasn't going to do it. Is it obligatory in the T20 World Cup, or is it on a team by team basis?

Today's games

11:00 England vs Bangladesh

15:00 Scotland vs Namibia

England have already restricted Bangladesh to 124 for 9 in their 20 overs. I would be dissapointed if England didn't go on to win from there.

Namibia haven't played yet but were not convincing in the pre-tournament qualifiing, whole Scotland won all three of their games, I might just edge Scotland but that might be home bias! ')

It’s not obligatory in terms of you have to take a knee but I think it is in terms of acknowledging it in some way, like for instance, Pakistan choose to stand with their hand over their hearts. Bunch of bullshit as far as I’m concerned. I support racial equality but no one should be made to do it, otherwise it just comes across as tokenism  and virtue signalling.

I think their hearts are in the right place, but it's one of those gestures that if it goes on long enough people forget what it was all about.

Anyway, England had a confortable victory, knocking off the 124 runs with nearly 6 overs and 8 wickets to spare.

Scotland recovered to an extent and finished on 109 but Namibia were comfortable in reaching that figure.

Just one game today but could be a good one is:

15:00 Australia vs Sri Lanka

Could go either way, but I'll favour the Aussies this time.

I'll root for Australia here, but at work I'll have to cheer for my co-worker's Sri Lanka. :smug:

Sei Lanka made 154 for 6 in their innings. Normally I would say Australia knock that off with 1-hand tied behind their back, but they're not at the top of their game at the moment. Should still get there but it might not be a walk in the park! ;)

Looks like it was a walk in the park afterall, Aussies got there at a canter.

Just started:

West Indies vs Bangladesh

15:00 Pakistan vs Afghanistan

I think the WIndies / Bangladesh game could be quite close (famous last words!!), West Indies probably should win though/

Pakistan should beat Afghanistan, both are unbeaten but that doesn't show the true picture! A bit surprised that Pakistan are playing their third game before most of their group have played their second!

Chris Gayle needs to retire. Not even 1/4 of the player he was. Shows just how bad West Indies cricket is travelling atm when they’re still opening with a 42yo Gayle.

Big clash coming up in a couple of days Kilo  :drama:

Yep, England vs Australia... Saturday at 15:00, probably the middle of the night for you, Jack? That's a shame. :(
