AFLW news - Geelong just beat Richmond, always good to type that out, and their % keeps them at the top of the other 5-4 teams. They are 7th on the ladder, go Lady Cats! One in Hoops!

Good dominant win but the girls team has been a little disappointing this season. Started the season really well but fell away in the 2nd half. They are much better than their ladder position suggests. Should not have dropped games to Essendon and Collingwood. I think they’re the best team in the bottom half of the top 8 and can beat anyone on their day if they play to their potential except maybe Melbourne.

The lady cats are doing a smashing job in the finals, taking out former premiers Melbourne in a hard-fought match. Geelong ran up a lead in the first 3 quarters, but Melbourne came back hard in the 4th, getting to within one goal. Defense in AFL doesn't always make it to the highlights reels, so it's great to see the struggles in the last two minutes of the game:



Sweet to see the Cats advance in the finals!
