Just driving back from Geelong in the pouring rain but it was so worth it. What a fantastic gutsy win by the Cats, especially after losing Jezza in the first qtr when he was brutally knocked out by Gary Rohan in friendly fire.

Yeah, that was hard to watch. Never good to see any player going off the field on a cart.

Their 3rd Quarter was also hard to watch, with the Dees pulling ahead and me thinking "Oh no not another disaster second quarter"... but Rohan! WOW! What a way to step up and turn things around! That was a tough scrap, and an important win for the Cats. They may have had an on/off season so far, but they're at .500 right now. That's better than Sydney, Freo, and Carlton, all having an off/off season from the looks of things.

Such a huge bonus for teams that are playing West Coast atm and if you get to play them twice it’s a straight up rort. What a blight on the competition they are. Sydney gained 15% points with that win which will be crucial come the end of the H&A season with lots of teams potentially locked on the same amount of wins.

Sydney tied with Geelong.

Either Sydney's doing much, much better than earlier in the year, or Geelong's still got a stack of problems it's got to get sorted to stick with its current top 8 ranking. Looking at the accuracy of the shots, but for a few pole hits, this game would have been Sydney's, so I'm going with the "stack o' problems" as my answer to the question. Sydney's got a lot to sort out, but at least they didn't get blown away again. Their GF hangover looks to be over, good for them.

Absolutely atrocious game of football. Sydney should’ve put us away in the first half but their poor kicking for goal kept us in it. We made the necessary adjustments in the 2nd half were on top of them for most of the 2nd half. We had our chances to go 14 points up in the last 10 minutes but continually butchered our inside 50 entries and and shots on goal. We were still 7 points up with 4 minutes to go but then Sydney dominated the last 4 minutes and should’ve won the game in the end. Lucky to escape with a draw in the end but not a game I ever wanna watch again. Our older players have really struggled the last 2 weeks. Isaac Smith has looked every bit age and a lot of other players look a shadow of last year.

Waking up to see the Cats dominated at the Cattery... good... Expected out of 10, actually...

... and then come to find that *Carlton* beat *Port*... BY 50??? and the Crows lost at home??? Am I in some kind of parallel universe?

Just got home from the Cattery. Was not expecting that but not at all surprised. Seen many a team go down there in hot form and cop a whipping. Cats seem to be building nicely. This is the time of year you want to be getting close to your best footy.

Where’s Port are showing signs that they might’ve peaked a bit early. I actually tipped Carlton.

I tipped falls for St. Kilda, Bulldogs, and Essendon and Geelong to be in 5th. If Geelong wants to hold that spot, it must beat the Lions at the Gabba next week. I sure hope the Cats are now in consistent form and able to get the job done. Would be luverly for them to go on to the final and Collingwood to make an early exit.
