Just go to 0:24 to skip the stupid ad at the front and treat yourself to one of the best Bollywood Item Numbers, ever. I could explain the clip, but I won't. Best instead to see the whole movie before it to explain the situation. This is the second to last song in the film, so it's about 2 and a half hours into the picture.
Film name is Devdas, if you are interested. Personally, I love this song. It is practically why I watch the film, just to build up properly to this song at the climax of the picture.

World music (also called global music or international music) is a musical category encompassing many different styles of music from around the globe, which includes many genres including some forms of Western music represented by folk music, as well as selected forms of ethnic music, indigenous music, neotraditional music, and music where more than one cultural tradition, such as ethnic music and Western popular music, intermingle.
It's not necessarily folk music as such, but a mix of types of music from different parts of the world.
Tang Dynasty i would call World Metal... Orphaned Land too.

That last one is a hoot... you don't have to speak Finnish to know what's going on at the end! :banana: And, yes, you know me enough to know that I really do love finding this musical history. It's fun and the music's really good in most cases.

And bonus points if it's Connie Francis singing in Japanese. She had one song, "Someone Else's Boy" that she recorded in *eight* languages. The woman had a gift!
