I like it. Sounds fresh and very different. You wouldn’t have picked it as Maiden until Bruce started singing. Solos are great. Video is cool.

The mix on Spotify is much better than the YouTube version.

That Maiden tune sounds relevant, both in terms of sound and message. I think It's a good track. I've only listened to it once, from the Youtube that Tyr provided, on tinny little laptop speakers. In my garage, no less. Looking forward to hearing it cranked on my stereo.

After seeing what the Priest announcement turned out to be, I'm much more stoked for the Irons. I mean, Judas Priest is great, but that box set won't be finding its way to my place.

Agree that Maiden wins on being more interesting... next question is if this track indicates another album is on the way?

I'm a little surprised there wasn't a new album from Priest announced, because they have been in the studio and I thought they had said earlier in the year that it was basically done.

I'm guessing the song from Maiden is paving the way for a new album in the not too distant furture.

So Priest just put out another cash cow...how surprising....

And looks like Maiden's done it again...returned to the bland and unispired by the numbers stuff. Very flat sounding song. Mid tempo, lacking punch and over long. Not good, not good at all.

Priest are celebrating 50 years so rightfully so they should be putting out a career spanning studio & live boxset. I’ll never understand why people moan about these things. They ain’t forcing anyone to buy it.

You're right... but I can't afford it, not that I'm a JP completist anyway, but the Ripper albums might have been worth getting!

I won’t be buying it either as I’m not interested in cds anymore, in saying that, if there is a heavily discounted price somewhere down the track I might think about it.

It is the first time all the studio albums have been released in the one box set.

That is the first thing that turned me off of it. If they offered it on vinyl, it might be a different story for me. In fact, if it was a complete set of test pressings, I'd be sending them my cash right now lol. But as it stands, I'll save that money for whenever my Yellowman record pops up.

^^^Same, a vinyl boxset and I’m all in. Surprisingly they’ve never released a vinyl boxset so hopefully it’s on the cards, even if it’s just only the studio albums all repackaged and remastered in a nice box.

Exact opposite to me as I sold all of my vinyl and only buy CDs now. Granted my purchases have really slowed down but that is because my focus has shifted to gaming.

I do collect some vinyl (from my favourite artists and ones that don't charge gazillions for them) but for listening purposes I only buy cds.

But these kind of box sets are just ridiculous. I don't really understand who they are for? Some casual fan who doesn't own all Priest albums is hardly going to cough up 400€ to fill up their collection and why on earth would fans that already have all the albums cough up that kind of dough to get them again?! Sure you can say that hey but we put some "unreleased" live stuff on it...yeah well you could have just released those albums seperately.

The only purpose for this kind of stuff is to go the pocket of the die hard fans who just have to buy everything the band releases...and to me that just screams cash cow and I just can't really find justification for it other than pure greed.

All the Easter Eggs from the WOTW video

I'm not sure I understood everything but he seems to have forgotten the 2 creatures on the left hanging under the ruins of the Golden Gate, a skeleton and a second demonic creature straight out of Hell represented on the cover of The Number of The Beast ...

I thought the sky more represented the skyscape on the back cover of The Number of the Beast. That was the first thing that came to mind when I watched TWOTW video first time
