Bulldogs fought hard to win my that 1 point. I think Port Adelaide dispatches them next week, and I'm rooting for Geelong to beat Melbourne, but I expected to be saying that for the final...

Incredibly disappointed Z. Spent most of the day in bed unable to get up such was my depressive mood. Melbourne were unbelievable and Geelong were as bad as I’ve ever seen them play. This one is gonna be hard to get over.

Also, came out today that a virus ran through the Cats playing group a couple of days out from game and at least 6-8 players were heavily impacted by it and went into the game quite unwell. Seems nothing went right for the club in the last month starting with losing their most important player Tom Stewart.

Feeling somewhat better tonight though after watching the dogs absolutely wipe the floor with Port

Makes for one helluva Grand final in two weeks time between The Demons and The Bulldogs.

Indeed, looks like the Dogs are back in form. I don't want to make a prediction, I just want to watch the match, it should be really awesome.

And I do want to thank you, Jack, for getting me into this sport. I love it and it's helped my Australian accent heaps.

Brownlow Medal: I'll pick Bontempelli to win this one.

Gonna be one of the closest Brownlow medal counts ever. 1 or 2 votes could seperate the first 5. I would’ve said Bontempelli for most of the 2nd half of the season but he just trailed off a bit in the last few games. I’m gonna put my money on Clayton Oliver.

Halfway through the Brownlow medal vote count and it’s Oliver leading on 20 votes to Bontempelli in 2nd on 18 and 3rd is Darcy Parish on 17.

Wow, that's amazing all those votes. And every one of them well deserved, I say. Good on Wines for his win, and the others getting votes have all shown some incredible sportsmanship through the season, well done.

Well, that final was a great game to see. Second quarter had the lead change that put the outcome in doubt,

but the second half showcased a team that has been tough all year and their win is rightly deserved. Beautiful shots from the Dees, it was like a footy circus. By the 4th quarter, it didn't matter that it was the Dees out in front looking untouchable - they were STILL playing their hearts out, and that was some great sport there.

So here's to 2022, hoping the Cats make it all the way, but I've got to get through the Scotties and the Brier in Canadian Curling, first.
