Digging the Overkill - I need to go listen to that one.

Regarding images, not sure how photobucket works, but I always set the "width" in the HTML of the message to some value like 800. So [img width=800

Whereas before setting it is just an img tag like this (of source has closing bracket and so on in the real thing): [img.

You can click on any of the images I post and they will then pull up full size (they're usually very large).

I was doing that at one stage Vyn before it let me adjust the size prior to uploading from your camera roll to photobucket which it no longer does. Now it doesn’t even show the image size in the URL, it just says full size render. I need a new image host I think.

I can recommend Flickr. It's working pretty well and you can choose the size of picture you want to post.

Turns out I already had a Flickr account but had trouble with it originally, seems to be working fine now though but how to embed the link on here so it shows the image? I tried copying and posting in img on here but didn’t work.

Edit: Just tried photobucket again and it allowed me to upload a downsized image from my camera roll like it use to. Don’t know why it wasn’t working for me yesterday, so have edited my photo above.

Birthday pressie from the missus. Well I ordered it and she paid for it anyway. Always nice when it arrives on the actual day  :)

My daughter tells me there’s something else on the way that she has ordered for me. I wonder what it is?

180G Joe Barresi remix. My daughter brought me this. Was one of a few vinyls I had on my birthday list and this is what she chose.
I’ve never had an issue with the original mix and production on Holy Diver but have heard really good things about this remix and I’m a huge fan of the first two Dio albums so very happy to have it and looking forward to giving it a loud spin.

Not sure why they felt the need to alter the artwork though. The original artwork is iconic!

Ah, that's coo! I heard "Holy Diver" off of that just the other day, but wasn't really listening until it finished and they announced it was the Barresi mix. Not sure about the artwork either; you're right it is iconic. Maybe they felt it wasn't "in your face" enough, already?

Trying out the remixed version of "Don't Talk to Strangers." It's got crisper sounds on the drums, they're more forward. Bass guitar is dialed down a bit, but still there. Rhythm guitar parts also move forward, gives more support for Dio's vocals. If I wasn't told it was a remix and I was hearing it on the exact same setup as I have here, but in some other location, I'd just assume that they had better speakers there because of what I was hearing. The original mix wasn't bad at all, but this remix does apply some touches that I think improve on the original.

Found a 10" acetate of "Under My Wheels". Played it, it's a different mix than the release, has some reverb, the vocals are more up front and crunchier. Hmmm...it's a 1971 release (or thereabouts), catalog number matches an unreleased single (backed with Desperado, which was released but under a different number with different mix). I have a couple of more of these but haven't been able to find them yet.

So I'm now thinking about getting a turn table too...which I can hook up to my amp. Any suggestions on what to look for...

And I'm not going Vyn-level here...around 200$ I think....
