Naked Gun

A sequel to the Leslie Nielsen films last seen in 1994 with the Final Insult. This stars Liam Neeson, Pamela Anderson, Danny Huston and Paul Walter Hauser.

Frank Drebin Jr (Neeson) of Police Squad, makes a mess at a bank heist and gets demoted to traffic duties. His first assignment is to investigate a car crash which has killed an electric car company employee. The victims sister Beth (Anderson), insists the death was not an accident and pleads for them to investigate the car company CEO Cane (Huston)!

Neeson plays the son of Nielsen, and is actually a rather good choice. He plays it dead pan, as he should, and as you'd expect the jokes come thick and fast. Sadly a lot of the jokes don't work, but when they do they are really funny. I wonder if it's because I'm not American that I think that, because a lot of reviews I've seen on YT by US critics absolutely loved the film! But for me it's 5/10

And of course Neeson and Anderson are now an item as a result of the film!!

The films are masterpieces, and with any sketch show there's often a hit or miss with each sketch, but MP had a pretty good hit rate! ;)
