Frequency.

In spite of the Yahoo thing that requires some explanation 20 years later, the film itself is a well-made sci-fi whodunit with a great father-son buddy angle. This film is still fresh after 20 years, and I love it.

This is a fun movie with nothing taken very seriously. 7/10

This was a very entertaining popcorn blockbuster. Some very impressive special fx. Also good acting from the majority of the cast. 8/10

An isolated remote island community is threatened by an attack by tentacled silicates which liquefy and digest bone and tissue.  Not a Hammer film, but the director, Terence Fisher, directed many films for Hammer, so one can hardly tell the difference. 8/10

Checked out a clip of the monster... dude! That looks like a helluva fun movie!

Tonight, me and the family are gonna watch Bela Lugosi in Dracula. Aw yeah.

Upon his return to his ancestral homeland, an American man encounters a werewolf.  Fine performances by Benicio Del Toro, Anthony Hopkins and Emily Blunt.  For some reason I always find these films more enjoyable when set in 19th century England. 8.5/10

Saturday Night Sci-Fi

Two young Americans with special abilities must race to find a girl in Hong Kong before a shadowy government organization called Division does.  6.5/10

This was the best of the Hammer films that I have seen yet. The only thing that I did not like is there was not much in the character development department. 8/10

Oh, you've got a good one there, Thel.  ;)  As far as character development goes, I thought it was obvious that the 3 "gentlemen" characters had their flaws exposed early on.

On a side note, the small town I live in looks a lot like the setting in this film, especially in the fall.

^^^ I did truly enjoy the movie but it just seemed to me that some of the characters did not have much in the way of development. One minor criticism is that Dracula should have been more prominent in the movie. Other than those blemishes it is a compelling and creepy film.
I must thank you again for introducing the Hammer line of movies to me. I had never heard of them before you mentioned it at BSO.

This was OK, not a total misfire and with some well done directing and passable special effects. 6.5/10

I really liked this movie when I saw it years ago - I will seek out a copy and revisit it.

You're welcome.  :beerbang:  This was the 4th Dracula film Hammer made with Lee as the Count.  He is much more prominent in the 1st 2 films.  So by now, with his character well established, Hammer focused more of the story on others.  This becomes obvious when you see the films in the order in which they were made.

The head of a major cosmetics company experiments on herself with a youth formula made from royal jelly extracted from wasps, but the formula's side effects have deadly consequences.  A pretty cheapo film with little to no fx.  The above poster is nothing like what is seen in the film.  Totally misleading. 2/10
