So Tottenham are top of the Premieship for the first time in 6 years. It may just be on goal difference from Liverpool, but 1st place it is. Jack should be happy! ;)

Yep, very happy. Mourinho has got them playing as a very cohesive unit at the moment and full of spirit. Still a long way to go though.

I know it's only 9 games in but its looking like a topsy turvy campaign this year. While the top 4 are no surprise (Spurs, Liverpool, Chelsea and Leicester), the other usual suspects: Man Utd, Arsenal and Man City are nowhere at the moment (10th, 11th and 13th). And also-rans like Southampton and Aston Villa are pushing for European spots... but early days.

It is good seeing those less powerful clubs up there while the likes of Man City and Arsenal are struggling. These crazy times are certainly throwing up some crazy results, in all of world sport.

If not for a dodgy VAR decision late in injury time against Newcastle and blowing a 3-0 lead late against West Ham, Spurs could’ve had a nice gap on the rest.

I don't like Mourinho, but also I don't think Spurs changing their manager at this stage of the season will make a difference to thier chances of qualifying for the Champions League.

Regarding the Super League, no one has a good word for it. I don't think it has a hope in hell of being succesfull if no one wants it. And while UEFA may not be perfect, they're not doing a bad job.

With the poor timing of his sacking I wonder if it had anything to do with him being opposed to this Super League?

Whoever doses take over in the short or long term does need to release the shackles and get them back to playing more of an attacking style of football.
