I was casually glancing through today's womens FA Cup results, and was pleasantly surprised to see that my local team -- Portsmouth Women -- had won 13-0... until I saw that Hashtag United Women had won 17-0 and Huddersfield Town Women had won 20-0! Me thinks there's a big gulf between the 2nd tier of womens football and some of the other leagues taking part!

I've noticed that women tend to score more than men...might be because in general women goalies are shorter than men so they don't have as big of a reach?

I don't know...just a thought.

That might well be a factor. Also there is not the strength in depth in the women's game so the regional clubs are playing with enthusiastic amateurs at best.

England are 0-6 up against San Marino... and it's only half time! Harry Kane has 4!

Indeed! England went on to score 10 in the end with 2 more disallowed. Kane was substituted after the 7th so didn't add to his tally. That's our biggest ever competitive score.

Italy failed to beat Northern Ireland so go into the play-offs with Switzerland getting the automatic spot!

Keeping an eye on the Finland vs France game tonight, it would be nice if Finland could get a point and squeeze into the play-offs. Ukraine need to win to keep them out.

My goodness Finland played a great first half. France was actually surprisingly weaponless... So 0-0 feels like a lead at this point actually.

I know France will come back with a vengeance for the second half but still...We can be proud on how we played on the first half.

Well... 0-2....France's individual talent was just too strong...

BUT as a team I'd say we actually played better than France and we were even in control in the beginning of the second half.

I can say Finland can be pretty damn proud of this team for the way they played today.

Sadly Ukraine went and won Bosnia so we fell to the third place but it's okay. Just seeing a small ice hockey nation giving France a good match on the footsy field is already quite something...and in 3 years for the Euro Championships...who knows.

Was it? I didn't think Ukraine was that bad of a team...they advanced in the Euro championships too...and them NOT winning teams like Kazacstan or Bosnia...now THAT would have been a surprise... Them winning us was a bit of a downer though...

I would usually agree, but in ths qualifying group before tonight they had 6 draws and just the 1 win! This was only their second win in qualifying!! Money should surely have been on another draw.
