Had a thought, and realized I don't ever actually want anyone to get *worse*. :) So, I hope that you not only get better relative to your current situation, Charger, but also better overall, in a long-term frame of reference.

Anyone still at work, or are you on vacation now? Anyone working over the holiday weekend?


Personally being retired I don't need to worry about such things, but when I did we used to work up until lunctrime on the 24th and then go for a few drinks down the pub. I'd then take time off for a fortnight.

My day got very un-easy in a good way. After that post, I had a final interview with a company and then got a job offer hours later. I accepted it and put in my resignation.

I still start on the 10th, but now that's at the new company. My planned PTO for the first week of January will now be peppered with handover activities at my current firm.
