My wife had a show on TV last night about autistic people looking for love. I don't know what the name of the program was called, but it featured four or five people at various points on the autism spectrum as they tried to get a date/relationship.

I watched about ten minutes of it.

I am left with two feelings about it: one, I hope they find what they're looking for, each of them seemed so authentic and incapable of bullshit, and two, the exploitation is almost sickening. A modern day sideshow wrapped up as a psuedo-documentary. But I may just be cynical.

I don't know how bad it is in the US (or elsewhere) but reality shows are generally referred to as "Trash TV" by those of us who have better things to do.

Yeah...trash is right.

There's a like a gazillion different types of "find me love" shows so I'm not surprised that there'd be one for autists...it is ridiculous.

Congrats! I need to do mine will probably wait until April 10th or so. I know I'm going to have to fork over gobs of cash so might as well act like it's still mine for a while longer lol.

One of those uniquely British events happens today... The Boat Race.

Several miles of rowing down the Thames in London, a race between the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge.

I'm sure I can find something more interesting to do than watch it.

Since I did my taxes with an online tool and submitted all my documents electronically, any cheating will be inadvertent mistakes.
