DP with JLT... or Was it Rainbow Reborn?
« on: February 13, 2018, 07:12:47 PM »
When Gillan got fired from DP after the HOBL tour, Blackmore brought in Joe Lynn Turner... and made the band pick up where Rainbow had left off before the Mk2 reunion. I've always held the view that Slaves and Masters wasn't a DP album, it was a pretty kickass Rainbow album.

Discuss.  :drama:

A Rainbow album for sure. Biggest mistake purple ever made.

One thing has always puzzled me a little. I've heard JLT singing Deep Purple songs with his own bands many times and he always seems to make a better job of them than he did when he was in Deep Purple. Or is it just me that thinks this?

It may be he's doing better with his own band, because they're not wishing he was Gillan. Or Candace Night.
