Guys, I don't understand this relentlessness on Screaming for the benefit of Defenders ! Ok, we have the same concept art work (the eagle is iconic, the half-track mechanical monster much less), the same dry production with this drum machine that hasn't aged very well and Ian Hill who apparently stayed at home during recording sessions while waiting for the tour. However, the legendary The Hellion-Electric Eyes-Riding Block on the Wind-Bloodstone-(Take these) Chains Block is untouchable.

Well I'll take your The Hellion-Electric Eye, Riding on the Wind-Bloodstone-(Take these) Chains Block and raise you - Freewheel Burning, Jawbreaker, Rock Hard Ride Free and The Sentinel

If I'm being honest though, I find there is very little between the two albums and I've always had a hard time seperating them. But if I was to drill down deep enough to try and find a way to seperate them, Defenders is slightly the stronger/heavier album. There's not a song on Vengeance I don't like but there is 3-4 songs on it that wouldn't sound out of place on the much more commercial Point Of Entry.

If I had my way Tyr, they would've both made it into the top five or at the very least went out together. But I felt the need to defend Defenders(pardon the pun when it was getting attacked. Unfortunately I had to give up on healing British Steel(Another top 5 for me) when it was getting hammered so had to at least try and save Defenders.

As I've said previously there is something about SfV I really don't like. I did listen to it the other week just in case it had aged well. But no it hasn't, the second half was better than I remember it but still not worth saving.
