Over at BSO I got a PM from MJD2013 who is trying to register, apparently it's saying that "Plant" is incorrect when answering the question "What is the last name of Led Zep's singer?", he's also tried the full name but no luck.

Any thoughts?

That is the correct response, and it is not case-sensitive. But, it is space sensitive, so if it was copied and pasted and Windows decided to add a space, then it will mess things up. Just type it in and it should work.

If he did type it in, refresh and see if he gets a new set of questions.

I noticed Charger got a poll going in the shaving thread, I’ve been thinking of getting some album vs album polls going or polls of best albums in a particular year but I’m not sure how to go about it and to be honest I haven’t been bothered trying to figure it out.

So Charger, Billy, Zzz or anyone else that has the know how wanna get a poll(s) started?

When you are on the forum section you want to put the poll on you'll see on the right side above the Subeject/Started by section the bars for "New Topic" AND "New Poll" so instead of clicking the new topic just click new poll and the rest will be easy going.

Thanks Charger, I've never noticed that option from the new topic section, probably because I've hardly started any threads on here.

It was probably the same instructions to start a poll at the other place though was it?

Most likely, pretty standard on most forum code. It's just not always evident because it only shows up in a view of the threads in a forum, not in a thread itself or a show new messages tab.

Are pages taking about 8-12 seconds to build after making a post for anyone else?

If so, I've got an investigation started on that issue.

I don't get how the "buddy" system works on here.  You just select someone for your buddy list and they are automatically your buddy? ???

At the other joint, a request was sent to the opposite party to see if accepted. :pub:

Possibly, but then why have the ability to make a buddy list at all?  It would seem to contradict that.

Well that is what is built into the forum software. We cannot really change that. We can remove it all together (which we won't) but we cannot modify it.

Well, we *can* modify things...

https://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=2204

This one allows the ability to see common buddies, kinda cool.
