The Mac or the King?

So; if you're going for crap junk, which one of these two do you go for, and why?

I only took the two biggest burger-chains here, if there's other chains and/or types of junk food you rather prefer, bring it on.

To me it's Burger King, no doubt. Atleast it kinda feel like they actually use meat in the burgers, as opposed to the cardboard Mac is using. And you can choose not to have those disgusting pickles on it. The only drawback is their "fries", which you can feel is simply potato flour pressed as fries, that's the one place Mac's got the upper hand.
I guess these things vary from different countries and their regulations, though.

That being said, i very rarely visit any of the two. It's just when i'm in a hurry, or in ye olden times when going home after a night out.
If i'm so lazy i'm going for junk without being in a hurry, i prefer a non-chain burger shop with real burgers AND real fries...

Now i'm hungry...

We have some decent mom and pop burger joints, even a few exceptional ones. When it comes to super fast crud  I prefer Burger King as like you I feel that they are at least trying to use real meat. Usually though I do Mcdonalds as there is two of them very close to where I live and it is also cheaper than BK .

We've got our own big chain here called Hesburger and it wipes the floor and kicks the butts of both of these ones...But I prefer the old classic mom & pop burger grill in my small town...been going to that place for something like 25 years now...

But I don't really eat this kind of food too often...once or twice a month...


Never liked Mac...the burgers are so bloody dry...there is not enough sauce in those burgers...dry is a no no for me.

There is only a handful of Burger Kings in Finland as far as I know...Been to one once...not nearly as good as Hesburger but surely better than Mac so it'll get my vote here then.

Haven't been to either of these places in nearly 30 years.  In fact, the last time I had a burger was around 5 years ago at a friends cookout.  So if a very old vote still counts:  King > Mac.

I'll go with The King for burgers. You can convince yourself that it's healthier because it's flame broiled and not fried. But when I really wanna get my "grease" on, you can't beat Mac's Filet-O-Fish and fries. These are the only fries I don't put ketchup on. Another terribly unhealthy item that hasn't been in my area for a few years is the McRib. mmmmmmmmmm!

Macca's for me although they're both shit and only eat either of them for a desperate quick fix. We have a lot of specialist trendy gourmet burger shops that have popped up over here the last few years, I'd much prefer them over the ultra fast food variety. Another long running tradition here is the homemade style hamburger or steak burger option from a Fish and Chip shop.

Burger King is actually called Hungry Jacks here in Australia because when Burger King decided to expand its operations into Australia in the 70's it found the name Burger King was already trademarked to a little takeaway burger shop in Adelaide and the trademark owner refused to give up the trademarks rights.

Here in Texas, we have Whataburger. No need for McD or BK here. We still have those shops, but I drive past them to get to Whataburger.

If I had to pick between McD or BK, I'd cheat.

Depends on my mood, lately it's McDonald's just out of convienence travel wise. Although at the same time, I've been going to White Castle as well. Thanks Harold and Kumar.
