My copy of Jazz Sabbath turned up today. Jazz'd up versions of Sabbath Classics as performed by Adam Wakeman (maybe others!!) using Piano, Double Bass and Percussion.

I'm really enjoying XI, one of the best albums I've bought in a couple of years. Favourite song is probably "Signal Path" but there isn't an actual bad song on the album. The vocal style has taken a little getting used to!

I’m glad to hear that. It is a great album, and yes not a bad song on it. I suppose when you’re done with that for the time being the next logical choice would be the follow up Damned If You Do. It’s much of the same as XI and another consistent album.

Sounds great! And Joacim Cans is a miracle...the man's voice hasn't aged one damn bit since the 90s...He's like the Ronnie James Dio of power metal!! Crazy!

Lots of funk on this one, but enough hard-driving guitar to make it a rock record. I'm thinking JS might like this release, given how he can dig on Mike Patton mixing it all up in a big musical salad.

The opening track did it for me. I put it in my bandcamp shopping cart and never looked back. It's like The New York Dolls with a horn section, and I had to have it.
