But, yeah, what's going on with Finland? The Dio cover was all right, but these last two are meh. Just thinking of the awesome covers off the top of my head and this Nirvana one and the Slayer one are keeping two better covers off of this list!

It's an iconic cover for sure, and although they have better it was the obvious one to go for.

Yep - not their best cover but a damn fine one. Regardless, it will always be sbe iconic. A MASSIVE step up. from that Nirvana cover.

Again the album is good and I suppose the cover is somewhat iconic but it really isn't a very good one in my opinion.

Rainbow Rising, Master of Puppets, Agents of Fortune, Screaming for Vengeance, Powerslave, Hall of the Mountain King, Rust in Peace, Peace Sells, Sad Wings of Destiny, British Steel, Brain Salad Surgery, Led Zeppelin 3, Fly By Night - all major releases the Finnish Folks should know about and the 13 of them won't fit into the 6 spaces remaining.

I can say that I am almost 100% sure one of those will be on the list....from a band that starts with M and ends with A

But I will be disappointed if Powerslave won't make it..

That Pantera cover is a weak choice! Not actually bad, but nothing special.

But doesn't matter my hold on the people's choices for great covers has clearly greatly diminished.

Would rather have seen Black Flag's "Damaged" cover than the Pantera one, if a picture of a punch was needed. But neither should be on the top ten list.

On 5th place we have yet another one that baffles me quite a bit.


KISS - DESTROYER




I am not familiar with KISS artworks but I'm sure if you had to choose one from them there would be  better choices available...Also there are others that aren't KISS that are 100 times better than this one.
