That Bucs loss was...unexpected. I know you mentioned the Panthers a couple of posts up, but I'm still trying to process it. Brady is always full of surprises, and we're basically at half-season, but after the loss to Pittsburg, then the complete ass-whipping by the Panthers, I'm wondering of those seven Super Bowl rings are weighing a bit much on Brady's hand.

I know the general buzz is that he isn't really into it, and should have just stayed retired. But the man is a competitor, and I can't believe he'd be OK with mediocrity from himself. Like getting tromped by a second string QB from a floundering team.

It's the rest of the Tampa team that's not up to it. Brady can't win that game alone. TB needs some D and those receivers need to practice not dropping things. They can still turn things around there and in Green Bay, but it's going to have to be a team effort.

Having agony as a Cowboys fan as the Packers evened up the score to put it into overtime and the Boys are finding clever ways to commit penalties to kill their drive.

A convincing statement win against a team with a strong record while minimizing ticky-tacky penalties is the Dallas team that can go the distance. Here's hoping they stay healthy and focused like that for the schedule ahead!

They might get Odell Beckham after they Giants game, should they win.

Was shaping up as one of those customary frustrating Cowboys performances, six penalties, two Dak turnovers and down 13-7 at the half but they managed to get it together in the 2nd half and get the W.

That first half was awful, I turned it off after Dallas got their 9th penalty in the 3rd quarter. Nice that they got the win, but that wasn't the team that played the Vikings.

Lions put up a hell of a fight, they are for reals. A little more tuning, and they will be a real threat going forward. Bears need more tuning on their defense and then they'll also be contenders.

Back to the Cowboys: when they learn how to not jam themselves up with avoidable penalties, they will be ferocious.
