Canada might be one of the surprise packets of this World Cup. They had a terrific qualifying campaign. Beat both Mexico and the USA

Germany either 1-0 or 2-1 over the Blue Samurai

Spain 2-0

With 20 minutes to go Germany are 1-0 up against Japan. I missed the first half but if the second half is anything to go by the score flatters Germany. While Germany look dangerous going forward, so do Japan.

Just as I am about to post Japan have equalised, and not against the run of play either.

EDIT: Japan now leading into injury time.

Sheesh...Watching Germany's total meltdown was painful....

They dominated the first half! Japan didn't have a chance but then Germany just melt away and just stopped playing...wow...

Surprises just keep on coming in these games...

Spain will eclipse England's score at this rate! 3-0 up against Costa Rica after just 30 minutes. No chance for a come back for Costa Rica.

Well atleast Spain did not disappoint! Great game from them and the highest ever zero score in the history of the World Cup!

Costa Rica was totally unarmed...they had nothing to give. I'm assuming they will be going home with zero points.

Even Germany could have beaten Costa Rica!  >:D

I don't see Costa getting any points either, they had zero shots today!

Very perky Canada on the first half...but their lack of skill shines through though since they missed every single opportunity to score...even from a penalty! You can only blame yourself if you can't score from any of those practically open spots they had.

No composure in front of goal, otherwise Canada could have had a handful of goals. Conversely Belgium played quite poorly yet took the chance they did get. Canada must make better use of their chances, I don't see Belgium playing that poorly in the second half.

Belgium hung on to win 1-0, but really Canada should have at least got a point. They had so many attempts on goal they should have got a few more on target and made one of them count. I think Canada could get something from their other games.

It's a real shame that Canada just failed miserably in all of their attempts...and they had a bunch.

Belgium did step up their defence on the second half though...But still if Canada continues to waste certain goals like this they won't be getting a single point....

Looking at wins today for Brazil over Serbia and for Portugal over Ghana

Uruguay and South Korea could go either way but probably Uruguay.

With a few minutes to go the Swiss are beating Cameroon 1-0

Looks like The Swiss won Cameroon but seems that it wasn't an easy win... 1-0...the low score count continues...

Uruguay vs South Korea
This should be an easy win for Uruguay...South Korea can be fast at times but I can't see them being a match for Uruguay's talent.

Portugal vs Ghana
Ronaldo isn't what he used to be sadly and everything that's been going on around him must have had a huge mental toll on the great man but he is nothing if not 100% professional and he can put his focus on the field...I'm rooting for Portugal to win but this could also just be tie..

Brazil vs Serbia
Will Brazil go down in the way of Argentina? It is actually quite possible, but I think not...Serbia just isn't that strong...

And yet another 0-0....pretty pathetic game to be honest...Uruguay was weak...very very weak.

There was a lot of effort, but little skill. I suppose hitting the woodwork twice means Uruguay had the best chances but neither team really showed any quality.
