In case anyone is sick and tired of the main stream media version of what is happening in the world, here I will leave, on occasion, the independent broadcast I usually watch.

They are independent, in the strict sense of the word, and they certainly are not mainstream!

Undoubtedly this will seem obvious, but for the gentle reader out there, I would like to point something out. The word "independent" does not equal "unbiased" and "non-mainstream" does not equal "without agenda other than objective truth."

Expanding one's intellectual horizons is a great thing, and often accomplished by thoughtful consideration of previously unknown or unexplored resources.

Now that we've been presented with NTD, let's not turn this into one of their broadcast channels. Or anyone else's news broadcast channel, for that matter. We're not a news aggregation site.

Or better yet, let's not have political stuff here. I'm not bringing in anything political except as a response to what you bring in. I would much rather engage with you in something that isn't so divisive, like sports, music, books, Stoic philosophy, animals, outer space; we have lots of other topics here. Why do you feel compelled to keep bringing up something that is so divisive?

I know what Biden said, so, I'm sure with thirty-some executive orders, some of them must have been dealing with the things he feels cannot be done by EO. By the way, he never did elaborate as to what those "things" are.

The only people who call subjects divisive, are those with the inability to discuss something without maintaining control of their emotions.  Billy and I disagreed on plenty, but he was always able to discuss anything in a level headed manner with me.  That is the thing I admired about him the most.  My only regret is that I did not express that admiration to him when I had the chance.  I wish I held on to the email he sent me when he first invited me to join the Community.  He specifically said that any subject could be discussed as long as it was civil.  Subject restriction was precisely why I left the other place.  If it is going to happen here as well, then I really don't see the point of staying here much longer.  And I bet Billy wouldn't see the point either.

This is very true. Billy was adamant about keeping this place open for all topics.

And as a continued show of respect to him I have maintained his wishes and not completely shut down certain topics.

For me I have no objection to political stuff but I also don't really see the need to push on that topic either. As it is (seemingly) hard one to stay subjective and emotionless on. 

Also just to remind everyone in the beginning I was against allowing political stuff here. But I was completely out voted on that matter! 3 to 1 I might add.


So to conclude, lets just keep it civil. And lets not start butting our heads (yes I'm pointing at you zzz and you Typhon on this one) over trivial issues. Just agree to disagree and move on.

I don't want to adress this issue any further. Let's keep up the loving atmosphere for Billy yeah....
