Hey Ted! Good to see ya again bud!

I've listened to the song few times now and....no....it's a shame cause Rob's vocal melody for the verse is really really good but the rest of the song is just so meh that it's mehtastic.

Thanks Charger.  I still try to visit this Forum at least once a week or so.  I agree with you regarding the overall quality of the song.

I usually shy away from live albums, although there are a few that I think are definitive. And in some cases they're better than the studio version. In any event, I listed to A Touch of Evil: Live today. This would be the CD version from the "The Complete Albums" collection. Damn, it sounded great! The musicianship, of course, is top notch, but the production was superbly executed.

While going through that little box set of CDs, I noticed that it completely disregarded the Ripper Owens albums. It comes with a booklet, and the written intro describes each album in the context of it's time. They finished talking about Painkiller, then they talked about how the original lineup got together in 2003. Wrote those two records with Owens out haha. Anyway, thought that was interesting!

The Touch Of Evil Live is a pretty decent live album but the fact that they spliced it together with stuff from the Priest Feast Tour and stuff from the Rising In The East is totally stupid. Had they just done a recording from the Priest Feast tour that would have been great...as that was probably the last tour Rob sounded good and the band was still Priest through and through. Also the setlist for that tour was one of the best ones they've ever done.

As for the travesty that is ignoring the Ripper era albums...well that's just that...a travesty. But Rob is the man in charge everything not Rob is not Priest as far as he's concerned. It's been a joke for 20 years and it'll be a joke for the end of Rob's Priest.

So now I'm on a JP kick. Pulled out my copy of Nostradamus and got pissed off all over again due to the PVC leakage fucking up the vinyl. I thought, hey, I'll play the CDs since I now have a player. I discovered that the little hardback book that has two nice slots for the CDs is EMPTY. I don't recall ever taking them out, but maybe I did at some point. No idea where they would be, and frankly I'm leaning towards them just never having been there to begin with. Regardless, the end result is I have a box set of shit records, no CDs, and the only thing not hosed is the poster and the box itself.

And I don't have anything that will play that poster lol.

Fucking Nostradamus, the box set that keeps on giving. I don't know why I keep it around - I almost threw it in the trash last night, but refrained. The collector in me likes at least having the placeholder it represents.

Well that's just a big fat turd of luck there bud!

No cds in the digibook!? Never heard of that before....and I've got quite a few of those and never had an issue...but I guess considering it must be manual labour putting those cds into those things mistakes could happen.

So I'm assuming those were picture vinyls in those hard plastic sleeves then? I had few of those as well...but I have not noticed any problems...I took them all out exept the Iron Maiden's Out Of The Silent Planet picture disc that is up on the wall....should probably change that too...but atleast the vinyl itself still looks good.

Another new song from Priest...and another rather bland one...this one a quite a clear case of self plagiarism as it's a pretty near to Judas Rising..the fade in guitar intro and the vocal melody being practically the same...
Still not a fan of the guitar tone here...doesn't quite have that Priest punch to it now does it?

It's okay...but nothing to really write home about.
