Armored Saint - Punching the Sky

This might wind up being the one album on the most top 10 albums lists for members here. I'm trying to listen to bits in between calls right now, but I'm loving what I hear. It's a solid metal release, no faffing about. John Bush sounds great and the band is playing really tight.

Thanks to Jack and Thel for keeping it on the radar, or I would have missed this one.

Favorite Track - End of the Attention Span

This one really calls back to "Chemical Euphoria", their big hit from the late 80s. Loads of energy, has that signature riffage, great delivery from John Bush over a killer backing track.

Another standout for me is "Missile to Gun". Again, it's got that big block engine running in the background and a great guitar line and vocal on top of it.

Several more listens later, and I gotta say the album holds up well on repeat visits - if you liked Armored Saint from back in the day, you're gonna love this one. If you like Heavy Metal without any other adjectives, this is the album for you.
