Mk 3 Today... Who Does a Better Job, Coverdale or Hughes?
« on: February 13, 2018, 07:49:55 PM »
Both Coverdale and Hughes do Mk3 songs live and on album... so who does a better job of singing without the other guy?

I've gotten chills from Coverdale's acoustic version of "Soldier of Fortune" and there's a live performance of him opening with "Burn", moving into "Stormbringer" that blows me away... but I was nonplussed with the little of The Purple Album that I've heard.

Hughes, on the other hand, has really kept his voice in shape and I can count on him to really do a great job with the Mk3 numbers, day in, day out. I'd be willing to match him, song for song, with Coverdale's versions any day.

You may have a different opinion. I await a chance to match wits with you on this matter.  :drama:
