Charles Dickens

I finished reading Barnaby Rudge by Dickens a little while ago and I must say it was a wonderful experience. He was a truly great author and has become more and more important to me as a writer.

Anyone recommend another novel of his. I have read Great Expactations but that was when I was quite young.

Any opinions on his works??

I have trouble getting through his novels, but his short stories are another matter. "A Christmas Carol" is absolutely amazing.

I recommend Bleak House. Dickens was a product of his time, and so are his novels - but the man could write. I'm not a big fan, I pretty much have to be in the right frame of mind to approach his work.
