For Bad Bunny, I learned yesterday that I'm still no fan of Trap music, but I'm still a fan of the Latin Soul - Salsa sound that was in a number of those numbers. Those warm horn sounds really get me, made me wish it was Hector Lavoe getting a guest slot in the halftime show. But halftime ain't football.

***

Seattle's defense was dominant and the Patriots' defense kept it from being a blowout. That Gonzalez guy on the Pats' side was clutch as hell, it's a shame that Maye was getting emotional damage with almost every snap. Once both sides made offensive adjustments, they could score a touchdown, but it was just too late for New England. With Seattle's defensive dominance, it was a matter of time before they got points of their own, and that they did get. Sam Darnold's performance against a strong Pats defense shows the benefits of experience - even experience with the Jets - in big championship games like this.

Darnold's participation on a winning Super Bowl team before Lamar Jackson or Josh Allen made it to the big dance is testament to the power of sticktoitiveness. Also a testament to how bad the Jets were that they couldn't get anywhere with a guy like Darnold. But leave the Jets aside and I'll have a warm fuzzy for Darnold and up my own sticktoitiveness game.

Didn't see the halftime show.  I don't speak spanish, anyway.

As for the game, it played out exactly as I thought it would.  New England hadn't faced a complete team all season, so the shock of finally playing one was obvious.  Patriots would have lost in Denver if the QB had played.  Bottom line - the real Super Bowl was played 2 weeks ago, when the Rams played in Seattle.

100% on the Rams-Seahawks being the championship match. AFC simply wasn't going to win it this year with Nix out. And, even then, the Seattle defense put on such a master class, I don't think any other team could have beaten them.
