Jack! I saw your post in the other thread! I'm still following the Cats and am happy to see them in the top 8 this year, as the bottom half of the ladder is really really not a good place to be.

This week's interesting because all the top 9 are playing all the bottom 9. If we don't get 9 blowouts, then it's fraud alert for the top niner team that doesn't blowout the bottom niner.

Awesome to know you’re still following the Cats Z. They’re having another good season. Dropped a couple against lower sides but have a great record against top 8 teams. I think they’re the only team that can beat Collingwood and Collingwood knows that. Maybe the Dogs could trouble the pies as well. So far 3 blowouts this round so we’ll see what happens. Hope the cats demolish the tigers tomorrow. Percentage is gonna play a big part come the end of the H&A season and the ladder being so tight.

This is the week for a top 9 team to get that % up.

And, yes, the Cats are properly dangerous when they win the midfield. Lions are higher on the ladder, but they've shown so much clinging on to the end in their wins that I think they're not going deep into finals.

Biggest shock this year has been the utter implosion at Port Adelaide. My word, but they've crumbled. True, it's from top tier to mid-range, but that's still a big fall-off for them. With a new coach for 2026, they may have a building year or three in front of them.
