The Led Zeppelin Concert Project
« on: May 31, 2021, 09:36:07 AM »
I'm planning to do a Led Zeppelin "concert" feature on my radio show. My plan is to take a bunch of songs that Led Zeppelin was, uh... "heavily influenced" by and use them for a playlist. It's Led Zeppelin without Mr. Led or Mr. Zeppelin showing up on the record. There will likely be a fair amount of Willie Dixon tunes, since I consider Mr. Dixon to be the actual founder of the band, even if he didn't know it.

For example, where would Zep be without Dixon's penning of this tune back in 1962?

Here's the "original lineup" of Zeppelin playing Bring It on Home:

I'm doing this on my radio show each week. Today, I started with "You Shook Me", written by Willie Dixon and performed by Muddy Waters:
