I quite liked the second one as well.
It would make a nice change for Cage to do something more mainstream. Recently he's done some good work but it's either been in arthouse projects which no ones sees, or zany films which are a difficult sell!

Indeed.
And speaking of movies, there's some hubbub about a new AI actress. So, on the one hand, if I had AI generate all my movies for me, I could have lots to watch over time.
But would it be worth watching? It could make things that *looked* like genres I've enjoyed, but the stuff that makes a great film truly great, that would be missing. There's a deep humanity in a great performance, and it's why we celebrate them.

I was getting more and more into metal music back in late 1997 and after discovering Black Sabbath a buddy of mine from school ( 7th grade) played me some midis (YES MIDI was the music format back in those days!) of Maiden including Losfer Words which I really really liked. Then I went to the local second hand record store (we even had one of those back in the day) and saw an Iron Maiden album for sale and the cover art was something totally insanely cool so ofcourse I went and bought it right away.
The album was THE X FACTOR and I still remember being totally blown away by the opening track...with that slow quiet chanting leading into that bass intro it wasn't like anything I'd heard before and then when the song sped up it was like magic.
The album grabbed me instantly. It was dark and powerful with it's lyrical content and being something of a loner some of the lyrics hit really close to home...still do.
If I'd be forced the make a Top 10 list of my all time favourite albums this one would most certainly be on it!
