Lemmy, Slim Jim, and Danny B. - the CD, signed by Mr. Phantom, sadly not by the other two guys. Rockabilly-o-rama!

Quite a few instrumentals on that album, but Lemmy doing rockabilly is something I could totally get used to.

I'm playing the video without watching it as I want to judge the sound on its own merits. It's got a definite crunchy underlayer and that's 100% Iommi on the guitar. Vocals are going to be an adjustment period for me, I guess. I've got a few months to prep before the late October release date.

This one's not grabbing me with immediacy the way other releases have done this year, but I've got an open mind about what the rest of the album could offer.

Never heard of Jorn before, so I'm checking out his sound from his latest album. Kinda like a raspy Tony Martin, really.

Hang on - there's a single from the album, dropped 18 mins ago...

Finally  :)

I’ve preordered the red & black marbled vinyl, deluxe cd and 7” single so far.

Becky Baldwin certainty is a left field choice but a great one I must say. She’s a beast on the bass and is currently in Mercyful Fate amongst a few other projects she does. Karl Brazil is a session drummer from the midlands who is currently Robbie Williams drummer and has worked with Tony before.

Geezer gave us all a bum steer with the Swedish singer given Jorn is Norwegian 😂

Good to see Tony coming out with tunes, the only person I heard of before was Jorn. Looking forward to hearing the single dropping today.

The title of the new album, "From the Dark," sounds promising. Better than, "I Found My Inner Rainbow"!

Just got this E-mail:

Tony Iommi has announced his brand-new studio album, From The Dark, set for release on 23 October via BMG.

Recorded with Jorn Lande (vocals), Becky Baldwin (bass) and Karl Brazil (drums), the album was co-produced by Tony Iommi and long-time collaborator Mike Exeter.

"It's an album we've really enjoyed making. We're not trying to prove anything – it's a great album, it rocks!" - Tony Iommi

I am bit dissapointed by finding out Jorn Lande's on vocals...never really liked his stuff. But who knows he might do a fairly good job.

Becky Baldwin came from the left field for sure! But she is gaining some traction nowadays...first with King Diamond and now Tony.

Karl Brazil I have never heard of.

Could be on the Peter Frampton Syndrome thing, though I've never heard her live. I quite like her Wintersong album, though.
