Tsk, tsk... crosses The Fistful trilogy off his list!!

Pick number 2...

This is Spinal Tap

I really need to watch this again, it's been a while!

Star Wars was a good choice, I don't know Robot Monsters!

My first pick... before anyone else steals it!

The Lord of the Rings Trilogy

So I went with the trilogy but if I must pick one I'll go with the Fellowship which is just a nudge better than the other two.

I think this is still the only film soundtrack I have actually bought!

An Oscar won for Howard Shore!

I'm ok with scores and themes.

Any rain over the next few days is likely to be RED!! A dust storm in the Sahara has kicked up a lot of dust into the upper atmosphere which is making it's way over Europe!

Are you part of an invading force?! :)

Have fun... will you be "off grid?"

I did consider Master of the Moon... but I haven't listened to it in forever.

One album I have since thought about but only know maybe half of it, and one of those songs I no longer like, is

The Police - Synchronicity

The tracks I do know are pretty good... Every Breath You Take aside

@Zs

I like goth, not that familiar with The Sisters of Mercy though. I did wonder about adding Siouxsie and the Banshees to my list but then I would have to listen to it first... which would mean buying it or something! The Rapture came out in 1995 so I don't think they're active anymore!

Bauhaus might be another choice but I only know 1 song by them...

But if I only know one song it's a doozy!!

Pick no. 1

Rush - Clockwork Angels

No surprises here. The final album from Rush released in 2012. A return to their rock-prog heyday, and knocking it out of the park. Not sure they thought it was their final album as they toured for quite some time after its release. And now their drummer and lyricist has passed I doubt it could be the same.

Fans are hoping that the current touring line up might record a new album, but it wouldn't be until the end of their 2027 dates and its not like the band themselves are openly discussed it. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a live CD/DVD if things go well.

I know we've done TV themes, so I was wondering about "Songs from Films". Not necessarily theme tunes or full film scores but a song which was prominent in a film whether written for the film or pre-existing?

Pick number 2

Iced Earth - Incorruptible

Released June 2017 - it really doesn't seem that long ago! - I guess the guys could in theory reform at some point, but Jon Schafer is I believe concentrating on other projects.

This was a real return to form after a couple of middling albums, a shame it appears to be their last.
