Not sure about the first episode. Maybe the fact that it takes place in France, hearing French actors speaking inaudible English in a familiar place, I don't know. In addition the acting is so bad, little action and a very poorly lit convent.
the settings of wasteland urban locations are a sad failure.
I like to be disorientated when I watch a TV show.
the trailer for the next episodes seems to be closer to the mother tv show.

One of the most beautiful dramatic TV shows I have seen in recent years: a very well-staged story and breathtaking images. The acting of the 2 main actors is magnificent, Emily Blunt has rarely been so moving.

What are your thoughts on The Last Of Us? I haven't watched it yet...It's promising if it's woke-free! There's waaaaaay too much of that shit going around!

very well written and performed tv show with two performing actors from Game of Thrones, Pedro Pascal (Oberyn Martell) and Bella Ramsey (Lyanna Mormont). Pedro is also behind the mask of The Mandolarian, another good show, the last one from Disney not to have been contaminated by cancel culture before their latest abominable productions.
The Last of Us has touches from The Walking Dead and The Road movie with Viggo !

Not been around much the last few days, not been well and spent 4 days in hospital with cellulitis in a leg! Back at home now munching my way through anti-biotics.

sorry to hear that KDC ! I hope everything returns to normal as quickly as possible. 8)

Last Saturday, I was at a vinyl exhibition sale close to my house. I have been going there for 4 years. I found the Motörhead - Overkill  7" EP with Too Late Too Late on B-side , good shape and the one and only HSAS - Through the Fire 1984 album with Sammy Hager - Neil Schon - Kenny Aaronson and Michael Shrieve on drums , in very good shape too , cool price.
I met a guy with whom I discussed this and that for a long time and he informed me of a big event at 1h30 from my house: The international vinyl Salon , the most event of its kind in the country !! I didn' t know that !
So now , can't wait for Saturday, December 2d to visit this:

Congrats Tyr, but surely you get Slip of the Tongue to tie up the 80’s?

I have it since its release in 1989 .... on CD!
But the album disappointed me so much that I never wanted to buy it back on vinyl.
I have Restless Heart, Coverdale/Page , the awesome Coverdale solo album Into The Light, Good to Be Bad and Forevermore on CD too .

^^ I read that as soon as Brian Roberston came into the band, Phil Taylor wanted to be taken seriously as a musician, he was a huge Thin Lizzy fan. Therefore, he no longer wanted to appear as a bully. I note his attitude on the cover of the EP "I Got Mine": very serious, almost beautiful !
I like these little stories in the big one.

^^ Yeah , cool EP !
If I remember correctly, Phil Taylor couldn't play on it, he almost broke his neckfew days before , which explains the neck brace he wears on the cover. Denis Dufort recorded the 3 tracks.
... And thanx to Kim for her so sexy legs, my god !
