I managed to read some of that before The Independant realised I was an illegal alien (i.e. not registered!). But if there's an asteroid that can wipe out Europe the knock on effect will basically send the rest of the world back to the dark ages.

True. We do NOT want asteroids hitting the planet we're currently living on.
