Title: Napping
Post by: Zzzptm on March 23, 2021, 07:39:23 AM
What would have to happen for there to be a generally-accepted corporate nap time? Something like 1400-1430 local time, grab a pillow, dim the lights, hang up the phones, and take a NAP.

Who do we need to call to make this happen?

Darn it! I thought this was going to be a thread about shaping flint! (knapping!)

Youngsters don't need a nap during the day... they'll sleep when they're dead!!! Sometimes I have a doze in the afternoon but the start time can vary.

I've never understood napping to be honest. I've never been able to do that. It always takes me atleast an hour or more to get some sleep.

Also I'm always the most tired when I wake up and I need another hour to just wake up...so my nap time would take atleast 2,5 hours...and that might be bit unproductive for the fictional company.

But haven't the mexicans already done this...don't they have siesta? Isn't that like napping from noon to 4pm or something? :D

In my time in Latin America, I have yet to observe a general siesta, which is quite disappointing. To not see a tradition of mid-afternoon naps where I expected to find one was devastating for my plans to have global adoption of the custom.
