Well after gazillion re-releases of the Ozzy era material we are finally treated with some from the Dio-era as well...but it's not just the same old same old that's been out there for gazillion times but with something that actually contains never before released material as well.
The Heaven And Hell one is bit unimpressive as it doesn't really contain anything new for us Europeans BUT with The Mob Rules things get interesting as it features a FULL concert from 1982 that hasn't been released before!!!

The Portland show is very interesting as no recording of that show has even been on the bootleg circuit....so to get a full soundboard recording from a totally unheard show is rather suberb...although it is likely that some tracks from that show made it to the Live Evil...

Yes, I saw that earlier on Geezers FB Page and elsewhere. Rhino are releasing it in North America in March, but I read it's also being released worldwide by BMG but later in the year.
Not 100% sure I need it, I've got the Rules of Hell and sunsequent Deluxe Editions. I'm not sure I'm that bothered with the live material.

Yeah nothing new or to get exited about except Portland 82 which I’m not much of a fan of Ronnie singing the Ozzy era stuff anyway, but I’ll still be picking these up as I don’t have these 2 albums remastered with extras on vinyl. Interesting that Andy Pearce is doing these remasters as he did the previous ones also. Why do they need remastering again or why didn’t they just include everything on the previous ones?
Would’ve preferred the Super Deluxe vinyl box set treatment and or a vinyl boxset with all the Dio era stuff inc TDYK.

The Portland set was recorded the night before the first date used for 'Live Evil', so I'm betting it was recorded in consideration for the live album also.

Ah yes Scott you are absolutely right.
So it is more than possible that is completely unheard material. I'm pretty goddamn excited about that.
There can never be too much (or even enough) of live Sabbath material...especially with Ronnie.
That's a must have for sure.
That being said...why not just release the live album though...? This would make it my 4th copy of The Mob Rules then... :D

Agreed, Charger. I don't know if they'd give a standalone release but there's always a possibility that the tracks would be available digitally.
I've always wanted to hear the earlier 'Mob Rules' sessions, that were allegedly recorded after the 'Heavy Metal' soundtrack recording of 'The Mob Rules' but before the album that we did get. I know Tony isn't a fan of releasing studio outtakes (even though he's given permission for some), so unless it's something that the labels own the copyright to I'm certain we'll never hear it.
Releasing the live album on its own would have made a better option IMO, even if it's not done in a limited way like Hammersmith was. But I guess they dangle this carrot to get folks from the US who imported the UK deluxe editions to double dip.

I stopped buying Machine Head after I got it twice on regular vinyl, picture disc vinyl, CD, and remastered 25th Anniversary CD.
Mob Rules I only bought 3 times... 2 vinyl (first was warped) and 1 CD.
